With larger incubator shakers such as Unitron-Plus and Multitron II, the ideal positioning of the door is an important issue. Taking flexibility of space and ergonomics into account, Infors decided to have the door open towards the front. Thus the units (in contrast to chest-type units) can be placed under, as well as, on the bench. The open door serves as comfortable support for the tray to be pulled out, so sparing the back of the user.
The larger incubator shakers are controlled by microprocessor and therefore offer a variety of options and possibilities for control; including an ecological solution to temperature control.
