Taking flexibility of space and ergonomics into account, Infors decided to have the door open towards the front. Thus the units (in contrast to chest-type units) can be placed under, as well as, on the bench. The open door serves as comfortable support for the tray to be pulled out, so sparing the back of the user. The larger incubator shakers are controlled by microprocessor and therefore offer a variety of options and possibilities for control; including an ecological solution to temperature control.        Unitron-Plus        The Unitron-Plus offers the most important features of the well-proven Multitron: stackability, user-friendly controls, space saving design at optimal cost and performance. Due to its front opening door, in contrast to 'chest' type incubator shakers, the Unitron-Plus top surface is free and can be used as a work area for placing items such as an oven. The silent drive and an improved dual display are further quality characteristics of the Unitron plus. In spite of the small footprint of 1070x860 mm required by the Unitron-Plus, the shaking tray of type M, 850x470 mm, offers the largest capacity of its class. Any culture media which is spilled cannot harm any part of the shaker mechanism or the electronics.
